A nature lover’s dream, Moreton Bay is home to the largest population of resident bottlenose dolphins in Australia, as well as six of the world’s seven species of sea turtles, and it is one of the few remaining strongholds for herds of shy and gentle dugongs. About 195 species of birds also live or migrate to Moreton Island and Moreton Bay, including 31 species of migratory birds protected under international agreements (JAMBA, CAMBA) with the most common birds seen being pelicans and cormorants. Our onboard marine naturalists have been working with these incredible animals for over a decade and have the experience to give you the closest wildlife encounters possible. Throughout the tour, our knowledgable guides will provide you with informative expert commentary guaranteed to foster a deeper connection with the natural and cultural heritage of the region.
