Yes, we operate every day subject to weather from September – June each year, excluding Christmas Day. 

In the off season (July-August) you could try a whale watching tour with our sister company, Sea World Whale Watch departing from the Gold Coast daily.

The tour goes for 7.5hrs, departing at 9.30am, and returning at approximately 5.00pm. If you have coach transfers please allow additional travel time.

From the mainland, it takes approximately 75mins to get over to the island.

See Moreton is an all-inclusive experience, including return ferry transfers to Moreton Island (Mulgumpin), a guided snorkelling tour of the famed Tangalooma wrecks, morning tea, a tropical buffet lunch, afternoon tea, beach time activities and a wildlife discovery EcoCruise. 

Yes, there is onsite parking for $10 per day, or free all day parking on the street. If you wish to park onsite, please pay when you arrive at the boom gate at Rivergate Marina.

Yes, we are able to accommodate prams on board, however due to safety and customers comfort, please do not block walkways or doorways. We usually prefer prams to be folded down.

As See Moreton offers a versatile buffet lunch menu, we do not cater to special dietary requests, however if you wish to bring your own lunch, or something to add to your lunch, please feel free to do so. 

The tropical buffet lunch offers a delicious selection of cold dishes such as succulent soy-maple chicken and maple-glazed ham off the bone, Australian ocean king prawns, a selection of different salads including garden salad, asian slaw, and Mediterranean pasta salad and fresh bread rolls. Plus a tropical fruit platter to top it all off.

Hat, swimmers, towel, sunscreen, a dry change of clothes, credit/debit card for onboard purchases. 

Please note, we do not supply towels on board.

Yes, we have kids snorkelling masks and fins available to use on the day during snorkelling.

Please note – snorkelling is not recommended for children under the age of six.

No, unfortunately we do not have lockers on board. For the enjoyment of everyone onboard, please be mindful where you leave your belongings.

We class all water as deep if your can’t touch the bottom, however there are patches of sand where you can stand up at times when snorkelling the Tangalooma Wrecks.

We have designed See Moreton’s itinerary to do as much or as little as you like. From relaxing on the sundeck with a couple of casual beers, or snorkelling, fish feeding and other optional activities throughout the day. It is great for all ages and offers a great day out on the water, even if you do not wish to snorkel.

We definitely recommend pre-booking the tour to avoid disappointment on the day. We recommend booking at least 5 days in advance, and up to 10 days during the busy period (20 Dec – 20 Jan).

You can, however, travel on the date you desire is subject to availability. If the booking date on your voucher is in a different rate period to that in which you travel a small extra charge may be payable to cover any rate increase.

Everyday is a good day at Moreton Island. We advise picking a day early in your stay so that if we need to reschedule due to unfavourable sea conditions, you won’t miss out! Give our team a call if you would like any advice.

Rarely, only a handful of days every year. Your safety and enjoyment over at Moreton Island is our #1 priority. If we deem it not safe to travel we will cancel the day. We make every effort possible to contact all passengers with as much notice as possible and offer the chance to travel on another day. If you can’t change travel days we will happily refund your ticket. Please note some bookings made through a 3rd party agent may charge a nominal fee or hold on to a deposit in line with their booking terms and conditions.

We happily accept both Visa & MasterCard as well as having EFT facilities both at check-in and on the boat.

Yes it is suitable for all ages – including families with children and infants. Adult supervision is required at all times for children under 16 years of age and is not the responsibility of See Moreton crew. Floatation devices such as life jackets and noodles are available to use whilst in the water. Snorkelling equipment is also available in children’s sizes. Please note – children and infants are not allowed to be left unsupervised on the boat during snorkelling.

Moreton Island is located off the southeast coast of Queensland, approximately 75 minutes by boat from Brisbane.

Located on the western side of the island, the Tangalooma Wrecks are a cluster of 15 historic barges/vessels sunk between 1963 and 1984 to provide safe anchorage
for recreational boat owners inside Moreton Bay. It’s now home to over 200 species of marine animals and has become renowned for its incredible snorkeling and diving.

In poor weather we are happy to move your booking without charge to the next most suitable day, subject to availability and with 24 hours notice. In the rare event we deem the weather too bad to travel and you are unable to reschedule, a full refund will be provided.

Majority of the customers we carry do not get seasick. However, this depends largely on the individual. Travelling on our fast, stable vessel ensures the smoothest possible ride arriving at the Tangalooma Shipwrecks in the shortest amount of time (approximately 75 minutes).

For safety reasons, we recommend that children under the age of 6 years do not join the snorkel tour at the Tangalooma Wrecks, however this is a recommendation only. A medical questionnaire must be completed and signed by all passengers and including parent/guardian for snorkelers under 16 years. Adult supervision is required at all times for children under 16 years of age.

Snorkelling equipment is available to use during beach time.

Absolutely. Our highly qualified crew can have you in the water and enjoying the magic of snorkelling in no time.

We do not carry prescription snorkelling masks. Contact lenses can be worn snorkelling however please note some water may get into your mask. Please consult your local GP for any further queries.

Did you know our team are as scared of sharks as you are. If they had any concerns on the day they also wouldn’t be in the water with you.

There are no requirements to wear a stinger suit in Southeast Queensland as there are no Box jellyfish or Irukandji.

Other marine stingers inhabit southeast Queensland waters however these will usually only cause skin irritations.

We are committed to ensuring that people with disabilities can attend our range of cruises however as See Moreton is an adventure activity and the vessel we operate has limited facilities we are currently unable to accommodate wheelchairs at this time.

If you are in a wheelchair and would like to experience all Moreton Island has to offer we recommend contacting the Tangalooma Resort.

Yes, we are happy to take pregnant women however if you have any concerns please speak to your doctor.

Note: Moreton Island is in a remote wilderness location approximately 75mins travel to the mainland and we therefore highly recommend not attending if you are very late in your pregnancy.
