Snorkelling Tour

Snorkel the famous Tangalooma Wrecks

Discover an underwater wonderland

Dive into the turquoise waters of Moreton Bay to reveal a protected piece of paradise that needs to be seen to be believed. Encounter fascinating and diverse marine creatures on your snorkel through the famous Tangalooma Wrecks.  There are fifteen shipwrecks to explore just off the coastline, with many protruding above the water at low tide. The wrecks were deliberately sunken ships to offer safe anchorage for boats in the 1960s-1980s. Spectacular coral formations call the wrecks home, attracting a myriad of marine life, making this one of Queensland’s most unique and popular snorkelling destinations. There are over 200 species of fish to spot during your snorkel, including the stripy sergeant major and rainbow parrotfish.
